The Silicon Vikings network has announced that the application period for the Finnish round of New Nordics Pitch Competition is now open. Just as last year, it will be organised by the Tampere-based Platform6 startup house.
The New Nordics Pitch Competition is a pan-Nordic and Baltic pitch competition that gathers the best startups and scaleups of the New Nordics. The winners will be selected based on the idea, ability to scale, business plan, traction, competitive advantage, market needs, presentation, team, and the ability to solve real world problems.
The competition welcomes all growth companies with the Finnish business ID that are currently fundraising and want to enter the US market. While this year there is no specific industry focus, startups should have a disruptive potential and solve a real problem.
The applications are accepted via this form only with the deadline being September 16th 2023, 24:00 GMT. All the applications will be reviewed by a startup screening group represented by Finland’s leading VCs and angel investors. 8 startups will be selected to compete as part of the New Nordics Pitch Competition Finland 2023 during Stream Connect on October 18th at G Livelab Tampere.

16.08.2023 – Open call for applications starts.
16.09.2023 – Application period ends at 24:00 GMT.
17.09 – 29.09.2023 – Startup screening group selects top 8.
04.10.2023 – Top 8 Finnish startups are announced.
18.10.2023 – Finland Final at Stream Connect (G Livelab Tampere).
29.11.2023 – Grand Final during the Slush week in Helsinki.
